Sony virtual remote control is a total replacement for Sony Remote Keyboard, but it runs on Win XP too, and implements all the functions that a normal remote control supports. Moreover the Jump (previous channel) button missing on new Sony Remote controllers is also implemented. The program is tested on Sony 2011 Bravia TV line, but perhaps supports other Sony devices that implement IRCC over UPnP. ...

I can not get it to work. my sony bdp s570 is connected correctly to my network (watch amazon, Netflix etc.) and it appears in windows file manager as a device. oh I am sorry, maybe I am too old with windows, it appears in win 7 pro file manager now called WINDOWS EXPLORER as a device. also when I right click the remote on my pc screen my sony blu ray player does show up as device to set up along with other networked devices. I choose and select ok. all appears fine but it does not work. from the instructions it appears something needs to be done on the blu ray player, but they are not clear as to what. |
